Our test,

Do AI tools agree on which agents to recommend?

Rarely. We asked ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini who the best partner visa agents in Melbourne are, and asked ChatGPT a second time in Tagalog. Across those 4 answers they named 14 different practices. Only 2 of the 14 appeared on more than one AI.

ChatGPT's English answer listed 5 practices, each with its Google rating, review count, phone number, address and a map. It then told the reader to check the agent on the OMARA register.

We asked each tool once, on one day. AI answers change between runs, and ChatGPT tailors its answers to the person asking, so your result can differ from ours.

ChatGPT's column covers its English and Tagalog answers.

Ask in Tagalog and the list changes

Asked the same question in Tagalog, ChatGPT gave a different list of 4 practices. It labelled one agent the good Filipino-language option because that agent's directory profile lists Tagalog.

In this test, a language listed on a directory profile was the stated reason an agent was picked. Our Dominant plan covers Tagalog, Hindi, Mandarin, Vietnamese and Spanish.

What gets an agent named?

Four things sat behind the names the AI tools chose in our tests.

  • Google reviews

ChatGPT showed each practice's Google rating and review count. 4 of the 5 practices in its English answer had 345 or more reviews.

  • A website that says who you are

Your name, your MARN, the exact visa subclasses you handle and your fees. In a Sydney test for the skilled independent visa (subclass 189), ChatGPT named a sole agent in a suburb whose website lists the agent's MARN and has pages for subclasses 189, 190 and 491.

  • Listings on migration directories

Perplexity drew on directory listings and practice websites. Gemini cited a site that compares migration agents.

  • Languages on your profiles

In the Tagalog answer, ChatGPT picked an agent because their directory profile listed Tagalog.

Questions agents ask

Can you guarantee my practice a top spot in AI answers?

Who approves the content?

You do, always. We publish nothing for your practice until you approve it.
